Little Noble Awards

As our adventure with Maria and Isaac comes to an end the special ceremony was arranged in our kindergarten.
That was a fabulous day, hope it will be remembered for a long time especially for their future education.

That day all children received “Little Noble Awards” and experimental book for their efforts and achievements within scientific project.

We also sang a song about reaching their dreams and said rhymes about Maria and Isaac.

Thank you all for our common adventure!
Thank you, colleagues from England! Thank you, students, parents and teachers!

Little engineers competition

Among kindergarten students we organised family competition called “Little Engineers” .

The task was to build an invention as Isaac Newton used to do in his times.

Today we would like to present three machines awarded in this competition.
Each of them have special certification where the aim and use of the invention is clearly explained.

 APATURA IRIS
inventors: Ala and Mum

The purpose of the machine is to find the end of the rainbow where the treasure can be hidden.
It has the glimmering light inside of the machine as well as in flying butterfly.

KASKOBIDON (water-bottled cycling helmet)
inventors: Jakub and Mum

The purpose of the machine is to let the person drink while cycling.
It has special containers for liquids on the both sides of the machine and two tubes running to the area of the mouth.

ŁAPACZ STRASZNYCH SNÓW (nightmares catcher)
inventors: Witold with Dad

The purpose of the machine is to transmogrify nighmares into colourful and peaceful dreams while sleeping.
It has the baloon filled with confetti inside of the machine which brokes if only the string moves because of the nighmare (the string is circled around child`s ankle while sleeping).

Kids at the Silesian Medical University

Little scientists attended special lesson at the Biochemical Department of Silesian Medical University in Zabrze, Poland.
They proudly sat in the lecture hall, and then it turned out that kids are just a bit tall enough to see everything properly.

In laboratory section there were chemical miracles – volcanoes erupting with foam, storms in test tubes, artificial blood as the one in movies, baloons filled with baking soda… Wow, everyone was shocked and fascinated!

With the same level of excitement we saw the exhibition of natural elements like spiders, lizards, varoius species of small animals on different development stages. “Look here!”, “Have you seen that?” was heard across university hall with thousands of additional questions…

Look how we enjoyed this lesson and its experiments!

As or kindergarten was the first one visiting Silesian Medical University we received exceptional task at the end.

The task was to give the imaginative profile to the human skeleton emerging through children drawings and its name (which had to be drawn among kids proposals). Look how differently we visualised the person who got the name: WITEK. Oh, Witek is also among us, in Polish team! What a surprise!

We want to give thanks to Bartek`s Mum and the Biochemical Department for inviting us for this lesson.

After the lesson more then half of children declared becoming medical doctors or at least chemics in the future! Good luck then!

Tiny elements of nature

When we went to the garden with magnifying glasses we also took digital camera for that to take pictures of what was founded in a grass. Our teachers helped us to take good pictures of tiny elements of nature.

Suprisingly there were many items hidden in the grass. Look at the results of our treasure hunting:

We invite you to become treasure hunters. Around your school there are lots of items hidden. Find them!

Optics helps us to discover the world

Isaac Newton was a great discoverer of the world with the aid of Optics issues.
He invented reflecting telescope to investigate mysteries of the light and the sky.
These days we got wise on different optical devices like: magnifying glass, binoculars, spyglass and microscope (traditional and digital one).

We found it exceptional to investigate our garden with magnifying glasses.
We were running here and there with them in our hands for that to find hidden treasures of nature.

Soon all of us felt as real scientists and nature observers…
